• Highest Point in City
in Fukuoka and gives excellent views over most of the city and the surrounding area. Our shot above looks out over Ohori Park, Fukuoka Dome and Nokonoshima Island. It is in Minami ("South") Park, at the top of Josui Dori and is surrounded by woodland. If you drive to Minami Park, the platform is situated in a large (pay) car park which, for reasons unclear, closes at 5pm.
There are toilets in the base.
On a warm late-spring evening the view from the top definitely has a certain romantic potential, but parking is a problem.
The car-park closes at 5pm
Top of Josui dori and turn left. Then take the first or second left and it is on the right side.
